Pink Beam of Love

Today isn't only the first day of the New Year; it’s the first day of the spirit year. OK spirits don’t watch the calendar like we mortals do. But they are aware of time and how much of it we spend out of sync with our spirit guardians. So while we are busy trying to better ourselves by making resolutions to budget more responsibly or hit the gym, our spirit guides have something infinitely more important in mind—to become active participants in our lives. But how? We humans are so distracted by reality. Hypnotized and often enslaved by it really. So what’s a spirit guide to do? Wait and wait and wait.
Patience could be the most practiced heavenly virtue.
Despite our ignorance of them, we are still the object of our spirit guardians' desire. They love us unconditionally, which is why they send us a continuous communication beam, in the hopes that one day, something will break through. It’s a bit like being lost in the wilderness and lighting a signal fire. All that smoke may have been wasted except the one glorious wisp that caught the eye of the rescue party. Being a spirit guide is a tough job.
With such a miraculous resource for guidance and clarity at the ready, why isn’t it natural for us to invite these beings into our daily lives? When we were children it was. Yet over the years this connection is buried under all the trappings of being human. Still if you’re looking, you will see the evidence of their watchful eye, answering even your smallest question with love and precision. My New Year’s message from my spirit guide came in the form of a beautiful pink beam of light that illuminated the flow of water from my kitchen faucet. Somehow the late morning sun found a path to my bottle of dish detergent and shone through it, just for me. I guess my guide knows where to get my attention—thankfully ‘he’ also knew when. Just as I was beginning to wash my first dish of the New Year I was blessed with a sign that the pink (my favorite color) energy of unconditional love is flowing…to me! Beautiful and in abundant supply.
