I meet regularly for coffee with a friend who enjoys studying ancient Egyptian history—particularly Isis. Today we were returning to her home on a route I hadn’t previously traveled. As her street drew near, I wasn't certain of the exact place to turn.
“Where do I take a right?” I asked.
“Turn at that big tree that’s hanging over the road,” she instructed.
Up ahead I saw a very large tree that spanned across the entire width of the road. Every branch seemed to be pointing east, the direction we were headed. However I noticed something else that was more intriguing. As we drove closer, the profile of a woman’s face appeared against the misty sky behind it. The furthest tips of the branches detailed her fine features complete with a long graceful neck and an adornment in her leafy hair.
We both agreed, the tree was mirroring an image of a woman who clearly resembled Isis.
With the help of a large and willing tree, her spirit guides reached out to send a message of loving camaraderie as if to say: “We know you and what you care about ... thought you might enjoy this image of Isis.” She did, as did I—but I’m sure neither of us had as much fun with it as the magical spirit who created it.
