Spider Messenger

The day before yesterday I saw a spider. It was crawling across the top of a bright orange chair—impossible to miss. Yesterday I saw another spider sitting still on a white lamp shade—impossible to miss. Today I saw a spider crawl across the table towards where I was sitting. He was slow and deliberate, either unaware or unconcerned that I could smash him with my shoe (I didn’t and in fact I never do). To me the spider isn’t an intruder; he is today’s spirit messenger. Now it’s my turn to decipher the message. So, what do spiders represent to me? Spiders are expert web weavers. Craftsman so skilled that they survive on the creatures that become entangled in their design. When building their webs, spiders cast them wide, many times larger than themselves. And then they wait for their tasty reward.
Now, I need to apply this to what I have been thinking about lately. What is the best strategy for me to attract new and exciting opportunities? Thanks to the spiritual receptiveness of three spiders, I have my answer. Design my web carefully and cast it wide. Focus on attracting my opportunities by being receptive and being willing to be open-minded about what comes my way. Then when the opportunities present themselves, act quickly. Success and supper will be my reward! A brief follow-up: I just sat down to publish this blog post and found a spider walking across my computer keyboard. Once again—impossible to miss! Thank you spirit guides and spider for delivering this definite communication that I’m on the right track.
