Miraculous Encounter

Spirits send us messages in many ways. Through dreams, our environment, or inspiring interactions with people and nature creatures. But sometimes they do something even more profound: a visitation. This recently happened to a new client (previously a skeptic) whose mother had died three years prior after a long battle with cancer.
It happened on Mother’s Day weekend. Katie, her sister Ashley and baby daughter were on a short hike when they encountered a woman who looked eerily like their deceased mother walking towards them on the trail. “Where did she come from?” Ashley said, “There were no cars at the trail-head.”
The woman approached and without hesitation began speaking to them. “It was as if she knew us,” Katie said. “First she congratulated Ashley on her beautiful baby and told her what a good mother she was going to be. Then she turned to me and told me not to worry as I would find the right person one day. All the while, she held the baby's hand.” Then she continued down the trail and out of sight.
“It happened so quickly. After she walked away, we just stood there in shock. It wasn’t until later, after the hike that we talked about it.” The sisters agreed, the encounter had left them feeling a bit dazed, but strangely serene. “The woman said just what we needed to hear. Since my niece was born, I’ve been feeling lonely and afraid that I’ll never have a family like my sister does. And Ashley has been worried about being a being a good enough mom.” The sisters agreed the mysterious woman was an angel sent by their mother at a time in their lives when they needed reassurance most. “Now I’m kicking myself! Why didn’t I talk to her?”
Spiritual visitations are rare; most often occurring at critical times in people’s lives. It is in these moments, that the spirit can have the most impact, guiding and supporting us through life’s cross-roads. These angelic encounters are usually brief; just long enough for the spirit to deliver its message. Frequently the recipient experiences a sort of mini-trance state while it is occurring. Katie didn’t speak to the woman, because her soul knew she didn’t need to.
“It’s the most amazing thing that’s ever happened to me. I feel lighter, happier, peaceful and more confident; and Ashley says the same. I always hoped our mom was looking over us from heaven, but now I know in my heart it’s true.”
