The Secret Power of the Emoji

In my work as a spiritual counselor, I’ve learned that using symbols is a powerful way to boost your manifesting power. The trick is to choose a symbol that represents how you’ll feel when what you desire to manifest is fulfilled. These emotions as embodied by the symbol, bypass the conscious mind (with its bevy of doubts and fears) and speak to the great creator of your reality—the unconscious.

Recently I was working with a client who wanted to manifest a new job. I had her close her eyes and imagine how she will feel when she has her perfect job. She sat quietly for several minutes, letting the emotions fill her from head to toe. Then I asked her to imagine an image that represented her feelings. She saw the glowing star emoji.

Spiritual tools can come from surprising places. I’ve always known our spirit guardians are incredibly resourceful, but I hadn’t considered them to be tech savvy! However it makes perfect sense that as we change, our guides change right along with us. After all, they are always up to date (actually several steps ahead of us) on everything going on in our lives. I also never considered that anything spiritually useful would come out of the growing presence of technology. But it has. The emoji is creating a modern day symbolic language!

Try it yourself. Think of a dream, desire or wish you would like to realize. Close your eyes and imagine how you will feel when you have it. Then scroll through the emoji library on your phone until you find the one (or two or three…it can be a combination) that embodies your emotions. Then have fun with it. Text it to yourself. Use the website below to print out several copies of the emoji and post them where you can see them often. Meditate on the image and allow the feelings to fill you from head to toe. Soon you’ll be as happy as the smiling face with smiling eyes emoji.

Want to experience more of the secret manifesting power of the emoji? Choose several of your favorite emojis and write down three emotions for each that personify how you feel when you look at the image. Then close your eyes and ask your unconscious to show you the personal wish each emoji represents. Take your time and one by one, meditate on each image until you know the wish the emoji represents. Remember, it is important to focus on how you’ll feel when your desire has manifested, so you must use your imagination! The symbolic meaning of some emojis may come to you quickly; others could take days (or even months) to become clear. But rest assured, the power of personal symbolism is at work and when the time is right, you’ll make the connection.

Finally, for an even bigger manifesting boost, text yourself the emoji and the emotions it embodies, along with the fulfilled wish it symbolizes in your life. Better still, find some magically minded friends and exchange your emoji wishes and dreams via group text messages. Action with intention is potent! The more energy you put toward manifesting your desire the more momentum it will gain. Be a good spirit partner and help your spirit guardians make your dreams come true!
