Make Every Day a Good Day

Every morning when we open our eyes, there is a magical moment when yesterday has not yet stuck its nose into today’s business. We are free, eager, and full of promise for what potential adventures the hours ahead will bring. The slate is clean and black, and the chalk the brightest white.

Then a moment later, we remember yesterday, and that clean slate becomes covered up with those attitudes, beliefs, and thoughts that we took to bed the night before. And while some of it feels good, what doesn’t, takes up space where we could write the new good stuff down.

Our new day has become the same old day all over again.

But what if the next night before you fell asleep, you said an earnest prayer to your Angel to awaken to a truly new day? One where the past wouldn’t dominate the future and you could experience the world full of infinite possibilities.

And what if that prayer worked even a little bit? Maybe the drive-through finally got it right, the boss gave you a pat on the back or the latest news on CNN wasn’t all bad. So that night at bedtime you said your prayer again and happily discovered that the next day was better than the one before. Soon, you realized that little by little, life was improving.

And as it did, you quit expecting things to go wrong. Magically, fewer bad drivers were on the road, your power bill started coming in lower, and the politics seemed less volatile. Somehow your nightly prayer practice began creating the new days you’d hoped for and in response you met each one with a more open heart and enlightened mind. You finally accepted that your prayer is a powerful intention that summons Divine intervention.

In fact, you started to recognize that when things did go wrong, it had more to do with your negative expectations than any situation you encountered.

After all, you realized you are not perfect, but wise enough to decipher that the Universe had been reflecting back the attitude that you were putting out. And so, you made conscious corrections. You acknowledged that the Universe was teaching you how to manifest and that you had the ultimate power to create good experiences and eschew bad ones.

Now, what if it wasn't just at night that you said your special prayer, it was whenever you needed it? And you began to know that your spirit partners were working behind the scenes, connecting people, places, and things in amazing and undeniable ways. Then in your appreciation, you sent a prayer of gratitude to all the Divine forces working on your behalf, and they responded with an even better day tomorrow.
